Description
ROOTED is a collected study book for you or your group.
It contains seven different studies on five topics of the Catechism by five different authors.
Each study on the beauties of the Catechism has either three, seven, or eight sessions or chapters inside it. They’re designed so that each session would be one meeting of your group. This collected study book has over 25 sessions total!
The topics are: the Virtues; Ways to Pray; God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; the Seven Sacraments; and the Ten Commandments.
What are the videos like?
The videos offer an in-depth starting point for understanding the depth of each study individually. They are all the way from ten minutes to twenty in length and perfect for showing your community group to root yourself in the subject. They’re very conversational and relatable while exploring the big topics of the Catechism.
What does a single session look like?
Let’s take “Vocal Prayer,” the first session in Ways to Pray. It would be comprised of:
+ a summary of the Catechism’s teachings on the topic;
+ 3 short Scripture passages from Old & New Testament;
+ a 200-300 word reflection by the author;
+ questions for reflection; and
+ questions for discussion.
What’s in a reflection?
We share a personal encounter with this particular teaching from the Catechism and how it has shaped and formed our lives. You’ll hear real talk from real women about the richness of our Faith.
Who’s it for?
You, two girlfriends, or two hundred ladies ages 18+! The format is perfect for community groups of any size. You can read aloud a chapter together as a group, discuss the questions, read it ahead of time and journal about it, or ponder the Scripture verses using lectio divina.
How’s the theology in it?
Our Theological Editor, Susanna Spencer, MA Theology, checks every one of our written products. She references and cross-references and makes sure we are completely in line with Church teaching on the topic. These materials were submitted for the imprimatur but were deemed “reflections” and not “teachings.” We feel confident that they are rock-solid theologically.
Nihil Obstat from Rev. Father Eugene Mary of the Trinity, Erem. Dio., S.T.L
Imprimatur from The Most Reverend Thomas J. Olmsted, Bishop of Phoenix
Designed by Be a Heart. This 7×10 perfect bound book has laminated front and back covers and is printed and packaged in the USA.

My small group is really enjoying this study – this is our first one because we’re sort of a new group. I love how the questions help the women in the group to really reflect and open up. This group is our safe space. So grateful for this study on points from the catechism, which we definitely need to brush up on no matter where we are on our faith journey!

I loved my small group discussion getting into God the Father. It was so enlightening talking about God as the perfect Father and recognizing how our relationships with our earthly fathers reflected what we think about God and how we approach Him, and the ways we can separate God from those preconceived notions. Every one of the studies was so fruitful and I loved diving into living out the faith. Thank you for the introductions, reflections, and discussion questions which helped facilitate the study so much! I am excited to go through more of your studies with my small group!

My liturgical year has become so much more fruitful being able to reflect through the Blessed Is She journals. I have loved all of them so very much. I love how throughout Rooted we kept hearing the words “here too” and the theme of the different seasons of life. I also love how much beauty plays a role in the way that the journal itself is designed, all the pages that had printed quotes with gold foil spoke to my heart. Thank you for all that y’all do!! ❤️

Rooted was the first Catholic guide that I ever purchased or even considered. Once I started the study I couldn’t put it down, which led me to RCIA, and a life full of faith. Thank you for the inspiration and so much truth!

I keep going back to the studies on the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I learned so much from these and it has helped me to see the Trinity in a whole new way. The true way!

What a beautiful way to break down the Catechism! I’ve always found it to feel so dense and over my head and this made it so personal, understandable and is increasing my ability to pray with it.

I love this so far. I have not been able to go to church since covid started in canada. I have been trying to grow in my faith here at home and make sure I pray and reflect everyday. This book has taught me alot and is helping me learn more every day. I use it for personal use not for group discussions. Some things have stuck with me, I plan on getting the other book when I’m done this one.

Our small group will be starting with this book on Feb. 3. We are continuing after gathering as a small group for Advent which was wonderful. I have glanced at the book and watched Nell’s video and am excited to take a deep dive into our Church and it’s authentic relevance to life and worship. I have tried using the Catechism on my own and found it daunting. This program looks like a wonderful way to walk together through what at times can seem like the “woods” of our faith.

I am trying to learn more about the Cathecism for Lent. Rooted has been the perfect resource to guide me on this endeavor.

I use this journal for personal study everyday and I absolutely love it. Consider this even if you don’t have a study group, it is wonderful.

Thanks for being in community with us!

My college bible study is enjoying learning about the beatitudes (the first section we’ve worked through since I got the study). We really love the personal reflections that are included as these have sparked some really great conversations.

So glad you love! Prayers for you and your bible study!

This book is beautiful! I love how the sections are short and sweet. Easy to complete within a session with a small group and not a lot (if any) outside work/reading that needs to be done. I am excited to see what all the Lord has planned for my small group.
The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because my copy seems to have a misprint in which the title page for the sacraments section says God the Father, Son, & Holy Spirit again. Something small, but also something to note.
